Every child

has a natural desire to learn and explore. During the first six years of life, children are particularly receptive to learning from the world around them. The Montessori method of education nurtures these “absorbent minds” with a child-friendly environment and an internationally-proven curriculum.

Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952) – a scientist and educator – was a pioneer in the education of young children. She developed a revolutionary method of education based on how children develop and learn. Her discoveries have been reconfirmed in subsequent studies and are universally accepted in scientific and academic circles.

A Montessori classroom offers a prepared, child-oriented environment filled with special materials. Children work with the materials and each other to master physical and cognitive skills in reading, math, science, and the arts. In the process, they also develop inner discipline, self-confidence, respect for nature, and respect for one another. Each child is treated as an individual and allowed to learn at his/her own pace, with instruction and guidance provided by a Montessori-certified teacher.
