Tuition-Free Elementary!

New for Fall 2008!

Good Shepherd Montessori School announces a bold new initiative: a tuition-free Elementary program for children ages 6-9! This three-year program is designed for the "age of exploration." At ages 6 through 9, children want to discover the universe and their place in it. They want to know how and why, they seek out new challenges, and they yearn for the answers to big questions. Their intellect develops and organizes itself, turning toward abstract concepts, reasoning, imagination and logic. In the Montessori Elementary classroom, lesson plans center around the creation of the universe, the Earth, plants and animals, language, math, and invention. Music, piano class, art, physical education, and foreign language will be included. At the completion of the three-year cycle, children will be ready for even greater challenges and achievements.

Application Costs and Program Fees:

There is a $200 application fee.

There is no tuition – however, a $2,000 Program Fee will be charged for the

school year. $500 of the Program Fee is due upon acceptance. The balance

of $1,500 is due by July 1 before the start of the school year.

AM Care and PM Care charges will be the same as for Primary/Pre-Primary students.

Qualifications: (for Fall 2008)

Student must have completed a Montessori Primary program before entering the

Elementary program

Student must be academically and emotionally ready for an Elementary class

Student must be 6 years old by December 31, 2008

Application and Admission Information:

    1. Submit an Elementary class application by March 1, 2008. An interview with the student and his/her parents or guardians will be scheduled.
    2. Upon acceptance, an Enrollment Agreement and $500 non-refundable deposit will be due within 30 days.
    3. Additional enrollment forms and the remaining $1,500 Program Fee are due by July 1, 2008.

All acceptances will be at the discretion of the Director. Current students of Good Shepherd Montessori School will receive priority consideration. All payments are non-refundable.
