Our Teachers

Dianna Souder, Director and Head Teacher – Ms. Souder has been involved with Good Shepherd Montessori since 1998. She holds a Montessori Certificate for Primary Education and a CDA (Child Development Associate) certificate. She also has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music and business, and taught violin and piano from her home studio for 11 years. She was a Kindergarten substitute teacher in the Montgomery County Public Schools and served as head counselor at Sandy Spring Friends School Summer Camp. 
 

Emmanuela Romulus, Head Teacher: Pre-Primary Class – Mrs. Romulus joined Good Shepherd in 2003. Before that, she was a teacher at Spring Bilingual Montessori Academy, and taught French at Rock Creek International School and Norwood School. She is also a French interpreter for the Prince Georges County Schools. She earned her CDA (Child Development Associate) in 1998, and trained as a Montessori teaching assistant at the Washington Montessori Institute. She has a Certificate in Nursing and is currently working toward her B.A. in Early Childhood Education. 
 

Maria Medina-Dominguez, Assistant Teacher, PM Care – Mrs. Medina-Dominguez joined our staff in 2006 after completing her 90-hour certificate in early childhood education in 2005. She worked at For Kids We Care in Germantown and the Julia Brown Montessori School in Olney. She also taught Spanish classes for elementary schools in the Montgomery County Public Schools. Mrs. Medina-Dominguez has a B. S. in biology and was a microbiologist before working in early childhood education. 
 

Eunyoung Ro, Student Teacher – Ms. Ro (Mrs. Chung) is working toward her Certificate for Primary Education from the Montgomery Montessori Institute. She assisted in our Pre-Primary class last year and has been a substitute teacher in the Primary Class. Ms. Ro holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in International Trade. 
 

Sandhya Viragi, Assistant Teacher: Pre-Primary Class – Mrs. Viragi assisted in the Pre-Primary class last year and was a very active parent volunteer in the Primary class. She is working toward her Montessori Assistant Certificate from the Washington Montessori Institute. Her background includes a degree in Finance and Accounting. 
 

Terry Yue, Teacher – Mrs. Yue has 30 years’ experience in pre-school and early childhood education. She has been a teacher at KinderCare, the Wagon Wheel Preschool (CA), and the Montessori School of Costa Mesa, CA. She taught Kindergarten at the Montessori Internationale (CA). She completed her 90-hour early childhood certification in Maryland in 1994, and started working at Good Shepherd in 1999. Mrs. Yue also holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Bloomfield University (NJ). 
 

Lili Hishmeh, Drawing – Mrs. Hishmeh recently retired as Co-Director and Head Teacher, but will return once a week to teach drawing to the Upper Primary (K/1) class.
